Midterm Grading Deadline Extended

The midterm grading deadline has been extended to 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14 to give instructors returning from spring recess additional time to submit their midterm grades. 

Fall Registration

Fall 2012 registration opened this morning.  The priority schedule for this week is as follows:

Monday	March 12		Graduate Students		8 a.m.
Tuesday	March 13		Athletes, DSS, Honors, RAs, Trio		8 a.m.
Wednesday	March 14	Seniors	122		8 a.m.
Thursday	March 15	Seniors	104		8 a.m.
Friday	March 16	Seniors	88		8 a.m.

Report Students Not Attending

Next Monday is the last day students can withdraw from a spring semester course, so it is important that we make every effort this week to reach out to students who are not attending class.  Please encourage instructors to report students who are registered but not attending. This can be done using the "Report Student Not Attending/Not Registered" link located on the faculty menu in GoWMU.  Staff from the Registrar's Office, as well as advising and Residence Life staff, will follow up with students reported as not attending.

 

Import grades from Scrantron to Elearning

Information Technology, Scanning Services has created a new tab on the Excel spreadsheet called Elearning Import.  This worksheet can be used to import your grades from Scrantron to Elearning.  Instructions to import your grades from the Excel spreadsheet can be found at http://www.wmich.edu/elearning/instructors/import-grades.html .  If you need assistance, please contact the Help Desk at (269) 387-4357, option 1.

New Lookup Form in Banner

There is a new form in Banner that allows alternate forms of lookup for a person.  The new form is GUISRCH and it allows you to search by email address, country code, area code and phone number. Here are the steps to follow:

• From any form in Banner, press F5 and you will get the GO box.
• Type in GUISRCH.
• Enter the information by which you wish to search.
• Perform a next block. The form will display WIN, names and date of birth for the person.
• You cannot perform an insert to put the record into the form you are working on. You must to do one of two things.
• Copy the WIN and paste it into the form you are working with.
• Type the name of the form you are working with into the Go box. It will come up with the person in the key block.

• Wednesday, June 27—Session ends
• Saturday, June 30—Summer Commencement
• Tuesday, July 3—Final grades due at noon
