Census

Census will be occurring tonight.   Please make sure all registration is complete by the end of the day so that every student attending is accurately counted in our census numbers.

Waitlisting

Waitlisting has ended for Spring 2012 and all waitlisted students have been dropped.  Departments may add students into waitlisted sections today as they see appropriate.

Adds/Drops

Departments have access to make registration changes through the end of the today. Students wishing to add a course after today must submit a Permission to Late Add form to the Registrar’s Office. The form is available on the Registrar’s Office website at:

Major/Minor Changes

As a reminder, changes to a student’s major or minor occurring after today will need to be effective in Banner for the Summer I 2012 session.   This is to prevent a student’s spring tuition from being reassessed if they are moving to, or from, a college with differential tuition.  

First Work and Midterm Grading

Midterm grading is open and instructors are encouraged to submit a first work grade by Monday, February 13.    First work grades can be entered using the midterm grade worksheet located on the faculty menu in GoWMU.   Providing early feedback to students gives them a sense of how they are doing in the course and lets them know where they may need to make adjustments while they still have time to do so.   Advisors will be monitoring first work/midterm grades and will follow-up with students who receive low first work grades.

Upcoming Dates:

• Wednesday, January 18--$100 late add fee begins
• Thursday, January 19—Last day for 90% tuition refund for a complete withdraw
• Monday, January 23-- Last day for 50% tuition refund for a partial withdraw
• Monday, February 6-- Last day for 50% tuition refund for a complete withdraw
• Monday, February 13 – First work grade submitted
• Friday, March 2-- Last day for 25% tuition refund for a complete withdraw
• Friday, March 2—Spirit day
• Monday, March 5—Spring break begins
• Sunday, March 11 – Midterm grading closes, end of day
• Monday, March 12—Classes resume
• Monday, March 19—Last day to withdraw from Spring courses
• April 23-27—Final Exam week
• Saturday, April 28—Commencement
• Tuesday, May 1—Spring grades due at noon
