Spring 2012 registration opened today at 8:00 a.m.. The complete registration schedule can be found at: http://www.wmich.edu/registrar/calendars/timeticketSpring.html
The use of waitlisting continues to increase. So far, 515 Spring 2012 sections have been enabled for waitlisting. If you are not familiar with waitlisting, it is a course management tool that allows departments to monitor demand for a course and provides students with the opportunity to reserve a “place in line” in closed sections. If you are interested in adding the waitlist option to a Spring 2012 section, it isn’t too late. Just submit a pink sheet to the Registrar's Office and we will add the waitlisted seats to Banner. If you would like more information on waitlisting, please contact me.
According to FERPA, grades can not be posted in a public setting using any part of the student’s name, WIN or SSN. The only way grades can be posted is by using a system that ensures only the instructor and the student can identify the individual and his or her grade. This may include using code words or randomly assigned numbers that only the instructor and the individual student know. A posted list should never be in the same order as the class roster or in alphabetical order.
The Spring 2012 final exam schedule is available on the Registrar's Office website at http://www.wmich.edu/registrar/finalexamspring.html
