There is a slight change in where minor restrictions are housed in Banner 8.2 Under previous versions of Banner, minor restrictions had to be placed in the CAPP pre-requisite area because minor codes couldn't be added in the major restrictions area. That has changed in Banner 8.2. The area is now called Field of Study Restrictions and allows both major and minor codes. Functionally, checking for these restrictions has not changed. If you have questions, please contact Michele McLaughlin, firstname.lastname@example.org.
As of February 8th, first work grades were reported in 407 sections, a total of 11,639 grades were submitted.
Note that midterm grading remains open through March 14th.
The spring semi-annual reauthorization will take place March 5-19. Agreement letters will be put in campus mail on March 5, so you should have them just as we return from spring break.
In preparation, please review all of your faculty who have advisor access. You can do this through Cognos. Go to Public Folders>Advisor-Security Assignments>DEPT:Personnel With Advisor Access:001. You can run the report by department.
Remember that faculty should have advisor access only if they perform in an advising capacity. Please remove the access for those who are not performing this function any longer. This will make the reauthorization go much smoother for everyone.
Please contact Kathy Rix, email@example.com with any questions. Thanks for your cooperation.
