Please ensure that all sections have an instructor of record, and that all sections on hold are either canceled or made active, by the end of the day today.

Spring refund dates

  • Thursday, January 21 – Last day for 90% refund for complete withdrawal
  • Monday, January 25 – Last day for 50% refund for partial withdrawal
  • Monday, February 8 – Last day for 50% refund for complete withdrawal

Upcoming dates

  • Tuesday, January 19, Department Clean-up day
  • Tuesday, January 19, census day
  • Wednesday, January 20 – late add fee ($100) begins*
  • Monday, February 8 – ‘First work’ grade submitted
  • Friday, February 26 – Spirit Day – no classes
  • Sunday, March 14 – midterm grading closes, end of day
  • Mon-Friday, March 1-7 – Spring Break – no classes
  • Monday, March 22 – last day to withdraw
  • Mon-Friday, April 26-30 – Finals week
  • Saturday, May 1 - Commencement
  • Tuesday, May 4 –Grades due at noon.

*Note that the late add fee of $100 per class is only assessed to students who are not registered for spring courses at this point; when they add a course or courses they will be assessed a late add fee of $100 per course per University policy.

Fall working reports

The "Final Review" of course schedules for FALL 2010 will be ready for pick up on Tuesday, January 19th. Please use pink sheets for any new or additional sections of classes.

All schedule changes must have the signature of the college Dean. Enter all additions and or corrections to faculty assignments in Banner.

Schedule changes for FALL 2010 are due at the Registrar's Office on Tuesday, January 26th by 5pm!

*Please return the working report to our office even if there are no corrections.

Banner 8 - timing

The move to the new version of Banner will begin on Thursday, January 28. Our current Banner environment will be down from 11:00 pm on January 28 through sometime Sunday afternoon, January 31.

During this time, there will be no access to INB, SSB, Vista, imaging, cognos (banner reports).

Faculty will not be able to access class lists, nor submit midterm grades.

Students will not be able to access class schedules, grades, or any other information, nor will they be able to pay bills during this time.

Banner 8 – changes

Some of the changes coming in Banner 8 include:

  • Expanded field lengths for name, address, phone, email and SSN. Forms which include any of this information will look different.
  • Customized registration error messages – we are now able to write our own registration error messages to better explain to students what error they have received. Some examples:
    • Corequisite message – Coreq-requires registration in additional course
    • Link - requires registration in both lecture and lab sections  
    • Major/minor – Restricted for designated majors/minors
  • The SSASECT form is now tabbed, with a tab for enrollment information.
