Note that today is the last day students can withdraw from Summer II courses through GoWMU. They can withdraw online through 11:59 pm this evening. Students who do withdraw will receive a ‘W” on their transcript.
Students wishing to withdraw after today must be passing the course, be able to document the hardship (ie. illness, death in the family, etc.) and have the consent of their instructor. The form found on wmich.edu/registrar/pdf/forms/late-drop.pdf must be submitted to the Registrar’s office after it is completed and signed.
Please note that the final changes to spring 2010 schedules are due in this office on July 31, by 5:00 pm. Contact Michele, 7-3869, or michele.mclaughlin@wmich.edu with any questions.
When the spring 2010 schedule opens for view on Oct. 5, it will contain required and recommended textbook and course materials. Making this information available to students is required under the federal Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.
Please do as much as you can to encourage all instructors to submit textbook information to the bookstore as soon as possible so that students will see current and correct information on Oct. 5.
A new, revised and update set of notes for Chairs is now available on the Registrar’s site, see wmich.edu/registrar/faculty-staff/chairs/Chairs_notes2009.pdf.
These notes include information on scheduling, policies, deadlines, as well as changes from the past year. Please let me know if there are any questions!
