Orientation

Orientation for new freshmen begins next Monday, June 1. There are 14 sessions scheduled, which run to July 1. Over 2700 students have registered for these sessions. See the complete schedule on: www.wmich.edu/fye/orientation/schedule.html.

Students not attending

Please remind instructors to let us know of any students on their summer I class list who are not attending or any students attending not on the class list. Instructors should report any such registration issues using the link on the Faculty menu in GoWMU.

Spring 2010 schedules

Schedules for spring need to be completed by 5:00 pm on Monday, June 8. The final review of spring schedules will be July 14 – 31.

Graduation deadlines

As a reminder, we encourage students to apply for graduation in a timely manner the deadlines are

• August 1 for students graduating in December
• December 1 for students graduating in April
• February 1 for students graduating in June or August

Undergraduates are encouraged to apply for graduation when they have completed 88 hours, graduate students two semesters prior to their anticipated graduation date.

Upcoming dates:

• Friday, May 29 - Last day to receive 25% tuition refund for a complete withdrawal
• Monday, June 1 – Last day students can withdraw from Summer I courses
• Wednesday, June 24 – last day of classes for Summer I
• Thursday, June 25 – Summer II classes begin at 8:00 am
• Saturday, June 27 – Commencement
• Tuesday, June 30 – Grades due at noon
• Wednesday, July 1 – last day of drop/adds for Summer II
