Please remind instructors to let us know if there are students attending who are not on the class list, or if there are students on the class list who are not attending. Instructors should use the links on the faculty menu in GoWMU to report these issues; the Registrar’s Office will follow up with the student to attempt to resolve the issue.
The summer enrollment numbers are now available:
Institutional Research website: http://www.wmich.edu/ir
Summer I 2009 census report: http://www.wmich.edu/ir/reports/enrollment/dose/200920dose.pdf
We are up 159 students overall from Summer I of 2008 with a total of 9,023 students.
The first round of Spring 2010 scheduling is due on June 8, at 5:00 pm. The majority of schedule changes for Spring 2010 need to be made by this time. Only minor corrections should be made during round 2.
Also, in scheduling spring 2010 courses, remember to spread courses out across the times of the day and the days of the week. Spreading classes out gives students more flexibility in creating their own schedule and makes most efficient use of building and room space.
In addition, note that textbook requests for Spring 2010 will be due by August 1, 2009, to comply with new federal regulations which require that this information be available to students when the schedule of courses is made available. Please let me know if you have questions.
Have a great week,
