End of the semester information

Student concern form

A reminder that there is an online form for faculty, staff and students to share their concerns about a student whose behavior is troubling and persists despite efforts to intervene. Information recorded on the form, which is confidential, goes to the office of the associate dean of students, who reviews the concerns and determines the next steps to take. The link is studentworld.wmich.edu/health.html. Click on the link to 'Student Concern Form' on the upper right of this page. You will be asked to enter your Bronco NetID and password. This is the ID and password used to access GoWMU.

A reminder: Hold vs. Zero Capacity

Now that registration for Fall is under way here’s a clarification about putting a section on hold versus zeroing out the capacity.  

Hold:

• Section does not show on GoWMU
• No registration is possible, but current enrollment stays
• Room assignment stays
• Courses on hold must be either made active or canceled prior to census.

Zero Capacity:

• Section does show on GoWMU
• Registration, by dept, is possible
• Room assignment stays
• We no longer do this, instead we add ‘Department Approval’ to the section.

Please be aware of these two options when sending pink sheets so that we can better handle your requests.

Security Access Request Forms-Important Notice

Please DO NOT save blank copies of the security access request forms because these forms are frequently updated. When one is needed, you can find it on the Registrar’s website - http://www.wmich.edu/registrar/security.

In the future, requests received on outdated forms will be rejected and the user will be required to complete the appropriate form.

Upcoming Dates

• Monday-Friday, April 20-24 – Final exam week
• Saturday April 25 – Commencement
• Tuesday, April 28 – Grades due at noon
• Monday, May 4 – Summer I classes begin at 8:00 am
• Friday, May 8 – last day of drop/adds for Summer I

Georgia

I am sad to let you know that Georgia Kerby Bryan passed away this past Friday. Many of you knew her during her 30 years at WMU. She was an excellent colleague and a wonderful friend and we will miss her very much.
