The final round of fall schedule corrections are due in the Registrar’s Office by the end of the day tomorrow, January 27th. The extra day is due to the MLK recess.
A reminder that problems with classrooms, including those that are urgent requests as well as routine maintenance requests, should be reported using the Bronco Fix-it online form. Find this form online: http://broncofixit.pp.wmich.edu/classrooms.html. Our Physical Plant staff will respond quickly and efficiently to all such requests for classroom service. This is the best way for such classroom needs to be reported.
Please remember that maintaining advisor access for GoWMU is the responsibility of the departments. This access is maintained on SIAINST in Banner. When a person who has been granted this access leaves the department, it is the responsibility of departmental personnel to remove this access. Additionally, when anyone has a duty change that results in that person no longer performing advising activities, the access needs to be removed by someone within the department.
Beginning with the semi-annual security reauthorization this February, lists of people who have advisor access through GoWMU will be distributed. Departments will be required to review the lists and adjust the access on SIAINST as appropriate. If you know of people who once were providing advising services, but no longer are, please remove their advisor access now.
FERPA requires that only those who have an ‘educational need to know’ be given access to student records. This means that faculty and staff can only have access if such access is required for them to carry out the responsibilities of their job.
