Spring Registration:

Today, Monday the 12th, is the last day that departments can adjust student’s spring schedules. Please do all you can to ensure that current students are registered for all their spring courses by the end of the day today,  including all graduate students, students doing internships or independent studies, etc. It is important that when we take our census counts tonight, the numbers accurately reflect our enrollment numbers.

Also, it is critical that all sections have an instructor of record, and that the instructor of record be correct in Banner by the end of the day, again so that census data is accurate.

PLEASE NOTE: REFUND DATES FOR COMPLETE WITHDRAWALS FOR THIS SPRING:

• January 15 -  last day for 90% refund for a complete withdrawal from all spring courses.
• February 2 - last day for 50% refund for complete withdrawal from all spring courses.
• February 27 - last day for 25% refund for complete withdrawal from all spring courses.

PLEASE NOTE REFUND DATES FOR PARTIAL WITHDRAWALS FOR THIS SPRING:

• January 16 - last day for 50% refund for partial withdrawal from spring courses

All sections on hold should either be cancelled or be active sections by the end of the day.

Form for reporting concerns on students:

A reminder that an online form has been developed for faculty, staff and students to share their concerns about a student whose behavior is troubling and persists despite efforts to intervene. Information recorded on the form, which is confidential, goes to the office of the associate dean of students, who reviews the concerns and determines the next steps to take. In addition to calling or sending an e-mail to the associate dean of students, this form provides another avenue through which concerns can be expressed.

Fall schedules:

Final review for the Fall 2009 schedule will be January 20 through the 27th. Changes are due in the Registrar’s Office by the end of the day the 27th.

• Monday, January 12 – last day departments have access to change student schedules
• Monday, January 12 – census taken at the end of the day
• Tuesday, January 13 – late add fee ($100) begins for students adding courses who have no courses on their schedule at this time.
• Monday, January 19 – MLK day – no classes
• Monday, February 2 – Summer schedules available for student viewing
• Monday, February 16 – Midterm grading opens; remains open thru March 8.
• Monday, February 16 – Summer registration opens
• Friday, February 27 – Spirit day – no classes
• Monday, March 2 – Spring break begins
• Tuesday, March 3 – Fall schedule open for viewing
• Monday, March 9 – classes resume
• Monday, March 16 – last day students can withdraw from Spring classes
• Monday, March 16 – Fall registration opens
• Monday-Friday, April 20-24 – Final exam week
• Saturday April 25 – Commencement
• Tuesday, April 28 – Grades due at noon.

Reminder, next Monday, January 19, is MLK day, no classes!
