For instructions, please see: www.wmich.edu/registrar/midterm-grading.html. Any questions can be directed to the Registrar’s Office.
Times have now been set for the December 13, 2008 Commencement ceremonies:
More information will be available on www.wmich.edu/commencement.
By the end of the week you should receive the semi-annual security reauthorization letter. Unlike past reauthorizations that used a list, now the reauthorization will consist of a letter for each user requiring the signature of both the user and the supervisor.
The letters will be sent in one envelope to the department contact. That person should distribute the letters to the users. Once signed by both the user and the supervisor, the letters need to be returned to Kathy Rix in the Office of the Registrar.
Users for who signed letters are not returned by the deadline (October 14) will have security access removed. If you have not received the packet of letters by Tuesday morning, October 14, contact Kathy Rix at 7-4969, or Kathy.firstname.lastname@example.org immediately so that another copy can be sent.
Please note, new general education courses and other changes to general education can start only at a fall semester and must have received all of the necessary approvals by October of the preceding calendar year. Thus, a proposed change for fall 2009 must be approved by October 31, 2008. General education courses require approval by the department, college curriculum committee, dean, and the Committee to Oversee General Education. Changes to general education policy are managed according to the policies of the faculty senate.
New courses and changes to existing courses can start in a fall or spring semester. A course starting in fall semester must be approved by October 31 of the preceding academic year. A course starting in spring semester must be approved by March 31 of the preceding academic year.
