Grading

Grading for Spring 2008 will open today at 8:00 am. All grades for this semester are due online, by noon on Tuesday, April 29th.

Withdrawal policies

WMU has three withdrawal time periods with different rules, as a summary:

1. Students can withdraw from any course online through GoWMU:

• From the day after drop/adds for a semester, through the Monday of the tenth week,
• January 15 through March 17 for this spring semester,
• No permission is needed.

2. Students can withdraw from a course with permission of their instructor:

• From the day after the Monday of the tenth week through the last day of the semester,
• March 18 through April 25 for this spring semester,
• Requirements:

• genuine hardship (i.e., illness, death in the immediate family)
• Must be passing the course
• Must provide supporting documentation

3. Students can appeal for a late withdrawal from a course, after grades have been submitted.
            The appeal, with any and all supporting documentation, as well as with feedback from the instructor of the course, goes to GAPDAC for a decision which is final.

• April 21 – 25 – Final exam week
• April 26 – Commencement
• April 29 – Grades due at noon
• May 5 – Summer I begins at 8:00 am
• May 9 – Last day for drop/adds for Summer I
