There’s a lot going on this week, beginning with:
The opening of Summer I/II registration, see www.wmich.edu/registrar/timeticket.html for the registration priority schedule.
Midterm grading for this spring opens today, for instructions and more information, please see: www.wmich.edu/registrar/timeticket.html.
Note that students will be able to see their midterm grades as soon as an instructor submits them. Instructors can make changes to midterm grades, in case of an error, online, no paperwork is necessary. Midterm grades are not part of a student’s academic history at WMU, are not part of their gpa, and do not appear on transcripts or any other permanent records.
A new schedule view is now available, see www.wmich.edu/classlookup. This new schedule view is open to the public so that prospective students and their families, as well as current students, faculty and staff can view course offerings at WMU. The information is real time, so enrollment data is current. Also, this new view provides access to the course description from the catalog, by clicking on the course title.
Please note this is a schedule view only, all registration for WMU courses must still take place through GoWMU. Your comments and suggestions on this new site are welcome, please direct them to me, through barbara.mckinney@wmich.edu.
The schedule for Orientation 2008 is now online, see the Orientation website, www.wmich.edu/fye/orientation. Incoming freshmen for Fall 2008 will visit campus during 14 scheduled Orientation sessions in June.
Incoming freshmen will take the Mathematics Placement test, now available to them through GoWMU, before attending Orientation.
The schedule for Supplemental Instruction sessions for this spring can be found on: www.wmich.edu/asc/schedules/sischedule.html.
Upcoming Dates:
Have a good week,
Barbara
