One –Stop

Plans are underway for the temporary One-Stop Convenience Center to run August 27th thru Sept. 7th in the North Ballroom of the Bernhard Center. Dates and times are listed below:

Student access to Banner

Beginning with the end of Summer II, all student employee accounts in Banner will be locked at the end of fall, spring and summer II semesters. If a department needs for a particular student to have access during the next semester, they need to send the student name and bronco id to their security administrator. For academic departments that is Kathy Rix, kathy.rix@wmich.edu .

This move is being made to take us back to the standard we had in ISIS and to ensure that our student records are as secure as possible.

Another action that will be implemented starting with Fall 2007 is that student accounts also will be disabled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. during the week and for the entire weekend. If a student needs access during this time, contact your security administrator.

New Cognos reports

There are now 2 new reports in Cognos that list a student’s academic history, including in progress classes. The reports are in Public Folders, Student Course. The names are AUD:History by Course:001 and AUD:History by Term:001.

As the names indicate, one sorts by course number and the other sorts by term. This eliminates the need to do multiple screen prints for each student. Enter the WIN (you can enter more than one if you desire) and then choose the EARLIEST term for which you want information. The report displays in PDF format.

Contact information

The personal information section in self-serve Banner now includes a link for students to add their cell phone number.  Please encourage all students to keep their contact information and their emergency contact information current.

• Gen Ed guides for the previous two years are also posted on the Registrar’s site.
• The last day to withdraw for Summer II is today, July 23rd, at noon.
