As you know today, Tuesday, is the last day departments have access to change student schedules for this Spring 2007 semester. Census counts will be taken tonight to give our official enrollment numbers for this Spring semester. Please check to ensure that all courses in your department do have an instructor of record and that it is the correct instructor, so that this information is correct when census information is taken.
Fall grading will remain open through January 19th, please remind any faculty that have not submitted grades to do so online prior to this time. After the 19th, any grades not submitted for fall will need to be submitted using a change of grade form.
Midterm grading for this Spring semester will open on February 19th and will remain open through March 2nd. Midterm grades are submitted the same way that final grades are, through GoWMU. The difference is that students are able to see midterm grades as soon as the instructor submits them. The other difference is that if an instructor makes an error in submitting a midterm grade, the grade can be changed online. Midterm grades are not stored in SISand are not part of a students academic history.
Students not attending REG-Student-Attend@wmich.edu. Instructors should email this address, including the student's name, the course, the CRN, and the instructor's name, with an indication of what the attendance issue is. We will attempt to contact the student and resolve the registration discrepancy. I appreciate your assistance in reminding all those teaching in your area of this! We have also put text explaining this, with the email address, on the summary class list page.
