Upgrade to SIS 7.3

The University's Student Information System (SIS) will be down for a scheduled major upgrade from 5 AM Friday, Oct. 6 through 8 AM Tuesday, Oct. 10. This will affect several key online services for students, faculty and staff. This upgrade will provide users the most current and functional version of SISavailable. Although the online systems will not be available during the upgrade, Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Cashiering and Accounts Receivable will be open normal business hours to assist students. Your patience is appreciated as we install and test these upgrades throughout the long weekend.

• Online Applications for Admissions (pdfs for domestic applications available at www.wmich.edu/admissions)
• Self-service for Faculty
• Student look-up, class lists, unofficial transcripts, etc.
• Self-service for Advisors
• Student Self-services
• Billing, Statements, Customer Account Balance Information
• Class look up, faculty e-mail link
• Enrollment Verifications
• Financial Aid (Award letters, status report)
• Hold information
• Official & Unofficial transcripts
• Registration, search for courses, withdraw from courses

GoWMU will be functional during the upgrade for WebVista, WebMail and WebCheck. Some channels will not display in the portal. Cognos functionality will be available; however, the data will be current only as of Thursday, October 5th.

Withdrawal information

COMPLETE WITHDRAWAL (Withdrawing from all courses) >Processing a complete withdrawal from all courses, refunds will be awarded as follows:

• September 12 - 14...................90%
• September 15 - 29 ..................50%
• September 30 - October 25 ....25%
• There will be no refunds< awarded for complete withdrawals after October 25, 2006.

PARTIAL WITHDRAWAL Processing a partial withdrawal from one or more courses, refunds will be awarded as follows:

• September 12 - 18...................50%

From this point in the semester, through November 6th, students can withdraw from any WMU course online, through the portal. Students will receive a grade of 'W' for a withdrawn class.
