Midterm
grading
As
you know from the message sent out last week, midterm grading
will be available to instructors beginning at 8:00 am today, October
16th, through 5:00 pm, Monday, October, 30th.
Midterm
grades are submitted the same way that final grades are submitted,
through faculty self-serve in GoWMU. More information, and detailed
instructions can be found on:midterm grading.
It's
important to note that:
- As soon as an instructor enters midterm grades and hits the
'submit' button, those grades will be available to students.
Students will access these grades through the portal and will
be able to view them beyond October 30th.
- Midterm grades are not part of a student's academic history
at WMU. They will not appear on any WMU transcript, nor will
they be part of a students gpa at WMU.
- Instructors should use the 'X' grade for students who have never
attended, or have stopped attending a course.
- If an instructor makes a mistake on a grade, that instructor
can change the grade prior to the 30th, hit submit, and the
student will then see the corrected grade.
Questions
on midterm grading should be directed to myself, at 387-4336,
or Carrie Cumming, at 387-4325.
