Fall registration opens today, with graduate students able to register beginning at 8:00 am this Monday morning. The full time-ticketing schedule is on the registrar's website: http://www.wmich.edu/registrar/timeticket.html and also is included in the fall registration booklet.
SIS7 information and training materials are now available online. These CBT's (Computer Based Training materials) are on the SIS website. To reach them:
The two sets of materials of most interest will be the Student Overview and the Fundamentals training. The Fundamentals CBT is the broader one, including training on navigation. The Student Overview deals entirely with the student related screens. You will see the new look of the forms and be able to practice some navigation.
If you have problems accessing these CBT's using Internet Explorer, try using Firefox instead.
Note that we will move to SIS 7 in October, prior to the start of registration for Spring 2007. There will be more information on any changes as a result of moving to version 7 prior to that time, as well as some training sessions for any who desire to attend. More details as the time gets closer.
Note that Cognos reports which generate lists of student names with an address will only include students with that type of address. So a report which lists all students with their local address will only list those students who've given us a local address.
Looking forward, we expect to begin schedule building for Spring 2007 on or about May 19th, with schedules due by June 12th.
Grading is now open for Spring 2006 and will continue thru approximately 30 days beyond grade day; grades are due on Tuesday, May 2nd at noon. Please begin checking that your instructor of record names are correct, and that all faculty can access self-serve SIS in preparation for grading.
Finals week is April 24 - 28; commencement is Saturday, April 29th. Details on this April's graduation can be found on: http://www.wmich.edu/commencement/. This April's graduating class is the largest ever at WMU. We'll be holding four ceremonies on the 29th.
There is a lot more to see! Visit some of our friends at WMU to learn about academics, costs of attendance, and campus life.
