The first of 12 Freshman Orientation sessions begins today. This years sessions have a different structure with students arriving by noon on the first day, spending the night here and concluding with advising and registration on the morning of the second day. The schedules for students and their parents can be found on the admissions website: www.wmich.edu/admissions/parents/.
Currently almost 3,400 students are registered for the 12 sessions which will run through the month of June.
Students registered for Orientation will have an 'OR' code in the campus field on SGASTDN, which prohibits them from registering for fall classes. The code is removed the day before they come for Orientation. Each Friday the code is put back on the records of all students who were scheduled for that week but did not attend.
Remember, if you are assisting students with registration that when registering for linked courses or co-requisites, the CRN's must be entered at the same time.
Grading for Spring 2006 will be closed today; all unreported grades will become I's. From tomorrow on, instructors replacing these incompletes will need to do so with a change of grade form.
