Spring 2018 registration

We are in the third week of registration for the Spring 2018 semester.  This week sophomores and freshmen are able to register. The priority schedule for the week is as follows:

Midterm grading

Today is the deadline for instructors to submit Fall 2017 midterm grades. The midterm grade worksheet will be open until 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. 

As a reminder, midterm grades can be submitted in GoWMU or from Elearning.  Instructions on submitting midterm grades from Elearning can be found online.

Fall 2018 academic schedule building

The fall 2018 schedule will be available for editing in Banner beginning today. To help with your planning, here is a summary of the schedule building dates:

October 23

Round one working reports are available in Cognos and Banner access has been activated to make changes. Changes may only be completed for the fall 2018 semester. Changes for the spring, summer I, and summer II 2018 terms should be submitted via section change forms.  

November 17

Round one edits should be completed in Banner. Access is deactivated at 5 p.m. All special requests should be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office. All instructors with documented ADA requests should be assigned to their sections for appropriate room assignments.

November 20

Bulk room scheduling process begins. Section change forms received at this point may not be processed until the first week of December. 

January 22

Final round working reports are available in Cognos.

January 26

Final round deadline. All signed working reports must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by 5 p.m. If the department does not have changes and will not be submitting a working report, please complete the Academic Scheduling Submission form.

Fact of the week

2,941 undergraduate and 599 graduate students enrolled this fall have a hold on their account preventing registration for the spring 2018 semester.
