Summer I/II registration opens today!

Midterm grading

Midterm grading for this Spring opens today and will remain open through March 6th.  The end date has been extended to ensure that all instructors  who give midterm exams the week of Feb 26th -March 2nd have time to complete grading and enter midterms.  For directions and further information, see: http://www.wmich.edu/registrar/pdf/Midterm.pdf

Upcoming dates

March 2nd  - Spirit Day - no classes
March 5th - Spring break begins
March 5th - Fall 2007 schedules will be open for viewing.
March 6th - Midterm grading ends at the end of the day.
March 11th - Daylight Savings Time!
March 12th - Classes resume.
March 19th - Fall 2007 registration opens.
March 19th - Last day to withdraw from classes for this Spring 2007.
            (Students can withdraw online through 11:59 pm on March 19th.)

Courses not offered

In March, we will be sending departments lists of Graduate courses not offered in 5 years and undergraduate courses not offered in 3 years.  I will ask departments to let us know whether or not these courses should continue to be listed in the catalogs.

Catalogs

The 2007-2008 undergraduate and graduate catalogs will be published, online, in May.  The current catalogs will be archived, and will continue to be available online at the same web site.

SIS Security

The SIS Security Committee will be conducting the semi-annual security audit in March. Reports will be sent to all areas that have personnel with access to Internet Native Banner (not self-serve SIS through GoWMU). You will be asked to review the reports for accuracy, making changes that are necessary. Each report must be signed by the director/chair/VP/dean as appropriate.  

Reports will be distributed on March 12. The reviewed and signed reports should be returned to Kathy Rix no later than end of day on Friday, March 30, 2007.  

The audit process will be carried out each March and October to ensure that our records are as secure as we can make them. If you have any questions, don-t hesitate to contact Kathy Rix (7-4969, kathy.rix@wmich.edu).
