Welcome to the 2009 Campus Classic
The Campus Classic is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, and is open to individuals, families and three- to five-person teams of all ages. No pets, please.
- 5K Run open to all ages and teams, timed with the Chrondtract D-Tag Disposable system
- 5K and 1K Fun Walk & Run open to all ages (not timed; parents may run with children at no charge in 1K events)
Schedule and event details
- All races begin in front of the Bernhard Center on West Michigan Avenue
- 1K Fun Walk and 1K Fun Run start at 8:15 a.m. (not timed)
- 5K Run starts at 9 a.m. (timed event)
- 5K Fun Walk starts at 9 a.m. (not timed)
- The Chrondtract D-Tag Disposable system is being used to time this race. You must use the D-tag System. There is no return fee with this system. If you use your own chip, your time will not be recorded.
- 5K course is certified
- Refreshments start at 8 a.m. in the Bernhard Center second floor Ballroom. An awards ceremony follows the 5K race for participants, guests and race volunteers.
- Each participant has a chance to win a $500 AAA travel voucher, and will receive a T-shirt and complimentary refreshments in the Bernhard Center second floor Ballroom.
- Each WMU student participant has a chance to win one of 10 WMU parking passes. Must have ID at time of raffle.
NOTE: Race course will re-open to cars between 10 and 10:30 a.m. If you are still on the course, please move to the sidewalks to finish the race.

- Top overall individual finishers, male and female
- Top finishers in each of the four team divisions

- All top finishers receive a Gazelle Sports gift certificate.
- Kids’ 1K runners and walkers 14 and under will receive a participant’s medal.
