Who & What is PSSO?
The Professional Support Staff Organization is pleased that you decided to work in an institute of higher education such as Western Michigan University. We want to inform you of your support group on Western's campus. With their diverse skills, talents and personality this special group of individuals makes a valued contribution to the university community. Hard work and dedication is another way to describe the C/Ts on Western's campus. The Clerical/Technical staff of WMU is a committed group of employees who are called to represent Western Michigan University on the front line. Often, a Clerical/Technical employee is the only contact a potential student or parent may have with the University prior to making a decision to matriculate at WMU.
The Professional Support Staff Organization (PSSO) is a group that supports the concerns of all Clerical/Technical personnel at Western Michigan University. The PSSO is a non-bargaining group made up of Clerical/Technical employees that volunteer their time and energy to the endeavors of all C/T's. These members represent Western's C/Ts at many events (e.g. Health Symposium, monthly Administration meetings, and other organizational meetings). As a group we support, encourage, and convey any and all concerns you may have to the Administration to seek solutions and/or answers.
The PSSO currently meets:
Take a moment to consider what your role at WMU will be. You are encouraged to join the organization and be active in the growth of our campus community.
