A brief biographical sketch indicating degrees received and some contributions to Western Michigan University should also be submitted to the Provost.
- The provost reviews the submitted documents and sends written communication documenting his decision to the faculty member, dean, and chair/director. The provost then submits the request and recommendation for final approval by Western Michigan University Board of Trustees.
- The provost communicates the decision of the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees.
