Graphic Arts Society Welcomes You!
Western Michigan University is located in Kalamazoo, MI. The Graphic Arts Society is primarily comprised of students majoring and minoring in Imaging, which is part of the College of Engineering and Applied Science's Department of Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Imaging. The College of Engineering moved to its new, state-of-the-art Parkview Campus in the Fall of 2003.
The Graphic Arts Society has two primary purposes: providing a way for students to interact and network with alumni and other industry professionals, and to be involved in various community service projects in the Kalamazoo community. One project that we have participated in for many years is an annual Christmas celebration held for the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
Plenty of social events and activities are organized for GAS members on a regular basis. We generally kick off the year with our annual cookout and picnic that is held near the beginning of the Fall semester. From bowling nights and trips to Roadhouse for their late-night food specials to our annual overnight trip to a printing/publishing industry facility, there is always an opportunity to be with other members of our organization.
We also provide printing for many student organizations, groups, fraternities, and sororities here at WMU, as well as for local businesses. If you are interested in or have any questions about what we can do for you, just navigate on up to the 'Services' link above.
If you are interested in becoming a member of GAS, please contact us! You can send us an email (rso_gas@wmich.edu) from the 'Contact Us' menu or find contact information for members of the Executive Board from the 'About Us' menu. Most importantly, anyone and everyone is welcome to join us at any of our meetings - you can find the schedule on our calendar, which is accessible from the 'Events' menu at the top of the page.
