Student Internships/Co-Ops Summer ‘08 Update

Industry associations between the PCI Department and the PTF have enjoyed a 50 year history of placing WMU students in challenging positions in the pulp and paper industry. This year is no exception. The following students will be learning their trades at the following mills/locations:

• Graduating Senior Tyler Ramseyer has accepted a permanent position as Applications Engineer with Nalco Company in Naperville, IL.
• Graduating Senior Daniel Powell has accepted a permanent position as Process Development Engineer with Albemarle, Baton Rouge, LA.
• Graduating Senior Robert Bethke has accepted a permanent position as Process Engineer, Georgia Pacific, Green Bay, WI.
• Senior Marc Yowell has accepted a permanent position as Process Engineer, NewPage, Escanaba, MI.
• Junior Kelsey Stapert has accepted an internship with Graphic Packaging, Kalamazoo, MI.
• Junior Maggie Gerhart has accepted a NSF sponsored nanotechnology research study in Brazil.
• Brittany Paige Albin has accepted a NSF sponsored nanotechnology research study in Brazil.
• Junior Bo Hatfield has accepted an internship with WMU Coating Pilot Plant, Kalamazoo, MI.
• Junior Andrew Loveland has accepted an internship with Verso Paper, Jay, Maine.
• Junior Joshua Cederna has accepted an internship with Graphic Packaging, Kalamazoo, MI.
• Junior Casey Kick has accepted a Co-Op with Verso Paper LLC, Quinnesec, MI.
• Junior Peter Schwarz has accepted an internship with Nalco Corporation in Stevens Point, WI.
• Junior Phillip Scramlin has accepted an internship with Altivity, Battle Creek, MI.
• Junior Dan Rickli has accepted a research lab assistant position with Dr. Margaret Joyce, CEAS, WMU.
• Junior Joel Wilke has accepted an internship with Stora Enso, Sachsen, Germany.
• Junior James Bruno has accepted an internship with SCA Tissue North America, NY.
