MIDA Program Requirements (New Requirements as of Fall 2008)

The Master of International Development Administration degree requires 42 semester hours of post-graduate courses with at least a "B" grade point average. These are usually completed with 14 three credit hour courses.

Requirements include:

  • Five Core Courses
  • Two Development Analysis courses
  • Two Tools and Skills courses
  • One course in International and Comparative Studies
  • Three courses in one of six Areas of Concentration (9 credit hours)
  • One approved elective course

The Field Paper consists of an analysis of a development program or project in the country of service.  It should be completed no later than 21 months after arriving in country.
