MIDA Careers

A number of newspapers and journals advertise positions in development. Some of the larger organizations and government bodies advertise positions and internships on their web sites. The following guide is to newspapers and magazines, the US Government, the UN and the World Bank, and NGOs.

  • Guardian Unlimited.   Based in England, the Guardian Weekly is the foremost newspaper catering to the international development community.

  • Work Abroad from the International Center of the University of Michigan.
  • DevelopmentEx.com, an "online marketplace for the global development industry," includes listings of development jobs.
  • FindajobinAfrica.com lists job vacancies in throughout Africa.
  • Relief Web lists employment opportunities with NGOs and Intergovernmental Organizations.
  • Africa Foundation for Development supports the African diaspora’s contribution to the development of Africa. It includes directory of African organizations and job vacancies.
  • Devnetjobs.org offers listing of job vacancies with development organizations.
