Assessment

General Information

Assessment of student learning is a key element in determining the quality of any academic program. At WMU, we define assessment as the systematic collection of data related to student learning and the use of those data to improve programs. Assessment starts with clearly stated “intended student learning outcomes” which are measured through direct and indirect means. The results from multiple assessments inform program improvement and curriculum development.
