Math and Chemistry Placement

In order to correctly place new students in mathematics courses at Western Michigan University, all students will be placed according to their earned ACT or SAT math scores.

The grid below represents the placement scoring that academic advisors will use for student placement.

Math and statistics courses student is eligible to take—courses listed in bold fulfill WMU's math proficiency.
