|
| In addition, the Physics Department has several awards and scholarships for Physics students. | |
| UNDERGRADUATE/GRADUATE AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS | |
| Leo R. Parpart Physics Endowed Scholarship | |
| Eligible recipients are any
level--undergraduate or graduate full-time students enrolled in the physics major
curriculum. It is the donors desire that first preference be given to female applicants from Asiatic/Oriental countries and territories, but shall not be limited to this particular ethnic group or gender. However, it is preferred that the recipient understands that the award is for individuals who are committed to returning to a teaching and/or research position in the physical sciences in his or her home country, upon completing their degree at WMU. Preference should also be given to students involved directly with experimental accelerator physics/applications/development; second priority to theorists in the same areas of concentration. Third priority would be to theoretical physics not related to accelerators; finally would be any and all other aspects of physics. |
