Research Interests
I have special interests in relationships between ethical theory and practice, professional ethics, research ethics, the philosophical thinking of children, moral psychology and moral education, and the philosophies of Thomas Reid, David Hume, and Adam Smith. These interests, while definitely philosophical, are also broadly interdisciplinary. So, I enjoy (and benefit greatly from) working with those in fields other than philosophy.
Teaching Interests
I teach courses in ethical theory, practical ethics, engineering ethics, research ethics, philosophy for children, and 18th century philosophers Reid, Hume, and Smith.
