Dr. John Cameron joined the Department of Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Imaging in the fall of 1996 as a paper program Associate Professor. Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. Cameron worked for the Harris Engineering Group in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he was a Senior Process Engineer. He was also a Research Associate in the Specialty Papers and Consumer Products Group at James River Corporation, Neenah, Wisconsin.

In addition to his industrial work experiences, Dr. Cameron has served as an Associate Professor/Senior Research Engineer in Pulping Sciences at the Institute of Paper Chemistry (Appleton, Wisconsin) and a Project Engineer/Project Manager at Conwed Corporation in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has more than 60 publications and three patents to his credit.
