Program Educational Objectives and Relevant Learning Outcomes

Objective 1

Enable a student to become a job-ready graduate by acquiring the technical skills, knowledge, and experience required for working in the Imaging/Printing industry.

 

Learning Outcomes
  • Understand and apply the basic concepts of image reproduction, including image capture, processing, transfer and output.
  • Understand the detailed mechanisms and operations of different printing processes, including image carrier formation and how to specify the appropriate process for a job.
  • Be able to apply digital methods of image creation, processing and output for multimedia applications.
  • Understand and apply the fundamentals of color reproduction for display and print.
  • Be able to design and conduct experiments in both a laboratory and production environment.
  • Become effective problem solvers in both idealized and practical situations.
  • Demonstrate competence in written and oral communication.

 

Objective 2

Enable a student to develop organizational, leadership, teamwork and communication skills.

 

Learning Outcomes
  • Be able to work effectively in a team, sharing the responsibilities and focusing on tasks.
  • Assume leadership roles, by exercising initiative and motivating others.

Objective 3

Promote the development of personal attributes of a thirst for knowledge and discovery, global perspective, and moral and ethical responsibility to help the graduates become responsible members of society.
