The Graphic Arts Society is primarily comprised of students majoring and minoring in Graphic and Printing Scieneces, which is part of the College of Engineering and Applied Science's Department of Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Imaging. The College of Engineering moved to its new, state-of-the-art Parkview Campus in the Fall of 2003.
The Graphic Arts Society has four primary purposes:
1. Providing a printing service to local companies and registered student organizations on Western Michigan University's campus
2. Providing a way for students to interact and network with alumni and other industry professional
3. Providing various community service opportunities in the Kalamazoo community
4. Providing social opportunities among it's members
From nights on ice and screenprinting parties to our annual overnight trip to a printing/publishing industry facility to getting hands-on experience with customers and a work enviroment, there is always an opportunity at a member of the Graphic Arts Society.
