OBJECTIVES | OUTCOMES
Educational objectives broadly state how the program will meet the needs of its constituents, while at the same time being specific enough to differentiate the program from other programs. Imaging program at WMU has defined its constituents to be the program's students, faculty, alumni, and employers of the program's graduates. The program also recognizes that it has a larger, less focused constituency that includes the families of its students and faculty, the University as a whole, and society at large. The program's specific educational objectives are:
- Graduates understand the fundamentals of Imaging/printing and can apply these fundamentals to solve problems.
- Graduates demonstrate cultural awareness and ethical behavior; and understand the impact of their actions on the environment and our global society.
- Graduates actively participate in professional development through contributions to society, life-long learning, and the support of and participation in professional societies.
- Graduates function effectively as both team members and team leaders, understanding the dynamics of team behavior, communication, and leadership skills.
- Graduates display a diverse skill set, enabling them to adapt effectively to changing job responsibilities.
