• Ink jets are increasing in speed.
• Xeikon and Indigo fast but expensive.
• Media and toners are expensive for electrostatic.
• Indigo has a problem with ink adhesion.
• Requires a special treatment (Sapphire) of paper
• Xeikon can print on both sides of paper (perfecting).
• Units require large buffers to store ripped pages prior to output.
• Digital color copiers (from Canon, Xerox and Kodak) with PostScript controllers can be used for short to medium run printing.
