On April 13, 2002 the Fifth Initiation Ceremony of the Theta of Michigan Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa was held in Fetzer Center

The Theta of Michigan officers for 2001-2002.  They are (in photo above, left to right) Paul Pancella, President; John W. Petro, Vice President; Maria Perez-Stable, Historian; Joseph G. Reish, Secretary; and Arthur R. McGurn, Treasurer

76 Undergraduate and 2 Graduate Members-in-Course were Initiated.


New Alumna Member, Dr. Susan Caringella-MacDonald (pictured with Dr. Joseph G. Reish) is a Professor of Sociology and Women's Studies at Western Michigan University.  She regaled us with the keynote address after our banquet. New Honorary member Dr. Quentin Persifor Smith is a Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy at Western Michigan University

Many came to join in celebrating outstanding achievement of children, siblings, friends and family.
