Hardware and Software Sales

Computer hardware and software may be purchased with an educational discount at TotalTECH, WMU's campus computer store, located in the WMU Bookstore in the Bernhard Center. Computer Repair

The OIT computer repair unit provides warranty and non-warranty repair for Apple, Compaq, Dell, Fujitsu, and Hewlett Packard. The computer repair shop has undergone significant restructuring recently with the results a significantly reduced average turnaround time. The industry average is seven days, whereas OIT's computer repair shop is now averaging five days.

Computer Repair is located at the NW end of the University Computing Center (towards the sun dial). For more information regarding repair services, contact Microcomputer Repair at 387-HELP, Option 2.

Computer Labs

WMU provides computer labs for students throughout campus. OIT manages the two largest and busiest general purpose labs, BCC and UCC, and also provides a student multi-media facility (IT Lab) located in the clock tower/bridge area of the second floor in the University Computing Center, and a small enabling technology facility (METL) in the UCC Building. There is also a lab provided for faculty members and graduate/teaching assistants. This lab, the Instructional Technology Center, is located on the second floor of the UCC. All WMU labs require you to present your Bronco Card (WMU ID). Be sure to always have it with you if you want to use a computer.
