* Long distance service is handled by the use of pre-paid calling cards. These cards are sold at the WMU Bookstore in the Bernhard Center.

EduCABLE

All WMU residential units are served by EduCABLE. This blend of education, instruction, information, enrichment, and entertainment has been designed specifically for the WMU campus environment.

Bulletin Board

The electronic bulletin board, channel 5 on EduCABLE, displays messages regarding campus events. Students can promote their organization's upcoming events/functions on this channel. Channel 5 is also designed for general campus viewing and includes promotion of events such as public lectures, seminars and concerts.

There is NO CHARGE for this service. Please complete an EduCABLE Announcement Form to post an announcement on the bulletin board.

Moving Out?

When moving out of a WMU apartment or Spindler Hall, you must notify Telephone and Cable Services, or the monthly charge will continue to be applied to your account.

FM Reception

FM radio reception is available through EduCABLE by connecting an FM tuner to the EduCABLE outlet.

Cordless Phones

Cordless phones are not recommended because the close proximity in residence halls and/or campus apartments may cause them to interfere with each other. Problems reported and identified as originating from cordless phones will be charged to the account of the cordless phone owner. Telephone and Cable Services reserves the right to cancel service to customers using cordless phones.

Other Devices

Electrical attachments to telephones, wiring, and associated equipment such as line splitters, are not recommended.
