New AntiVirus Download for Home Windows Users

Symantec Endpoint Protection, an enhanced version of the AntiVirus software used at WMU, is now available for students living off campus (students living on campus receive it automatically as part of WMU's network access program) and faculty and staff members’ home computers running Windows Vista or XP. This is not intended for use on WMU-owned computers. A version for those computer users will be made available at a later date. All home computer users are strongly encouraged to download and install this version as protection against the latest versions of malware.

To download Endpoint, log in to GoWMU, scroll down to the Virus Protection Downloads channel, and follow the instructions. After installation is complete, users should use the software to schedule a weekly scan of their computers.
