Setting Up E-mail Filters Using GroupWise for Windows

  1. Open the GroupWise client, go to the Tools menu and click Rules.
  2. Click New
  3. You should see the screen below:

  5. In the Rule Name box, type in Block Sender
  6. Under When event is select New Item
  7. Item Types should be checked as Mail
  8. Click Define Conditions. You will see the following screen:

  10. Select From in the drop down list that appears.
  11. Enter the email address of the user that is to be blocked.
  12. Click OK on the Define Conditions window.
  13. On the New Rule window, click Add Action and select Delete
  14. Click OK on the Decline With Options screen.

  16. Click Save on the New Rule window
  17. Click Close
  18. Repeat these steps as necessary to add all users that are to be blocked.
  19. Note: These instructions only apply to the PC version of the GroupWise Client
