EduCABLE

EduCABLE is the campus cable system of WMU serving all the residential units and most of the classroom buildings on campus. For more information regarding any of the services listed below, contact the EduCABLE office at (269) 387-4997.

EduCABLE offers the following:

Instructional Support

EduCABLE has three channels assigned for instructional use. Programs produced by WMU and other copyright-cleared educational programs are shown over these channels. EduCABLE also supports many of the University's departments with supplemental channels, including:

• Arts & Sciences (seven foreign language channels)
• History Department (History Channel)
• Mathematics Department (Basic Math & Algebra)
• Political Science (C-Span I & II and Michigan Government Television)

Bulletin Board

The electronic bulletin board, channel 5 on EduCABLE, displays messages regarding campus events. Students can promote their organization's upcoming events/functions on this channel. Channel 5 is also designed for general campus viewing and includes promotion of events such as public lectures, seminars and concerts.

There is NO CHARGE for this service. Please complete an EduCABLE Announcement Form to post an announcement on the bulletin board.

Community Outreach

Programs produced by members of the WMU community can be shown in the Kalamazoo metropolitan area on community cable access channels with the help of the EduCABLE staff.
