Family and Consumer Sciences

Master of Arts (MA)

The Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) department offers a master's degree with a concentration in Family Life Education. This program provides an integrative educational curriculum. Department faculty conduct research on the relationships among individuals, families, and their environment and culture, with the goal of improving quality of life within communities and society at large.

  • Community College or Undergraduate College Instructors
  • Parent Involvement Specialists or Family Service Field Associates for Head Start or Evenstart Programs
  • Youth and Family Agents for County Extension
  • Juvenile Court Workers
  • Directors of local Social Service Agencies
  • Program Directors in Churches
  • Parent Educators
