The Oaklands is a smoke free environment available to Western Michigan University faculty and staff for University and non-University related events. Originally built in 1869, the Oaklands is a showcase for the WMU Campus. It is beautifully decorated and provides a relaxing atmosphere for its guests.
The Parlor & Dining Room are the pulic areas of the Oaklands, and consist of a sitting room, living room with a baby grand piano, solarium, and elegant dining room. Guests enter through a formal foyer and are greeted by the towering spiral staircase (seen at right). Consider these ambient surroundings for your next reception, meeting, or intimate meal.
