Direct admission to the professional nursing program is very selective and highly competitive. Limited seats are available each fall semester. Students are considered for direct admission as the Bronson School of Nursing receives applications from WMU Admissions.

High school graduates who are selected for direct admission to the professional nursing program will be notified as to their acceptance in the early spring of their admission year.
Once admitted to the professional nursing program in the fall of their freshman year, direct admission students must:
Failure to maintain these standards will result in the student being placed in the pre-nursing program and will require reapplication for the professional nursing program on a competitive basis with other applicants.
