Did you know that M3RP is currently working with 89 Michigan School Districts representing 141 middle schools. Representatives from those districts include 190 Teacher Leaders along with 292 other district stakeholders (administrators, community members, high school and elementary school teachers)! See Participating Districts for detailed list.

To date, these dedicated professionals have had the opportunity to receive lots of professional development related to understanding standards-based mathematics, issues related to implementation of and sustaining exemplary programs, and technology in the classroom, to name a few topics.

Teacher Leaders 168 hours (120 more to go--more than 1/2 way!)
Other District Stakeholders 24 hours
(24 to go)

With this training, Teacher Leaders work with 935 other grades 6 - 8 teachers of mathematics from their own districts on mathematics content and pedagogy related to standards-based programs. Over the life of the project these 935 teachers will receive approximately 100 hours of professional development!

Teacher Leaders with their other District Leadership Team members are also charged with creating and implementing a mathematics plan for improvement as well as informing other district stakeholders regarding their plan.

The project applauds the hard work these people do as they strive to improve the educational opportunities for their students. WAY TO GO!
