WELCOME to the Homepage of the
WMU REU Program.
You are invited to apply for a Research Experiences
for Undergraduates Award to participate in Interdisciplinary Research
in Environmental Signal Transduction.
The REU experience at Western Michigan
University includes:
- Participation in a research project
- Presentation/discussion series on the
process of science
- Considerations of scientific ethics and
integrity
- Research seminars and career oriented
discussions
The dates of the program are:
To apply you must:
- Be a sophomore or junior with at least
20 hrs of sciences courses taken
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.75
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
If an award is made, you will receive:
- A stipend of $4,000
- Free on-campus housing with meal plan
- Discretionary travel subsidy
