The background characteristics of all appeals' court judges in the Appeals Court Database can be merged with the Judge Background Database. First, it is necessary to download the actual background data (in ASCII format) and the codebook (which includes all variables coded for each judge as well as the names of each individual judge).

Note: The files have been zipped (compressed) to reduce size and download time. Note: After you download the files, please be the SAS file is named "aubsas.xpt" and the SPSS file is named "aubspss.por" (PK Zip or WinZip should do this automatically).
